The Zootopia sequel we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! First announced in 2023 by Disney CEO Bob Iger, Zootopia 2 is set to bring back cop partners Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for another action-packed adventure.
Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman reprise their roles as the Zootopia Police Department duo of Hopps and Wilde. After solving the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, the pair realize that they may be mismatched and join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. In the midst of this revelation, Hopps and Wilde find themselves on the hunt for a venomous snake in the city.
Zootopia 2 is set to introduce all-new characters including Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles Maplestick (Fortune Feimster) and quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson). “It’s been an absolute joy to reteam with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members,” director and writer Jared Bush said in a press release.
The first Zootopia film received multiple recognitions, winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 89th Academy Awards and the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film at the 74th Golden Globe Awards. Following its success, Zootopia 2 is ready to break new records as it hits theaters on November 26, 2025.
