The Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library (FHL) are placing a piece of Philippine history, art, and culture in your hands with the launch of their new free digital guides on the Bloomberg Connects app.
Local and global audiences will soon be welcomed to explore their collections and exhibitions online, and to celebrate the milestone, Ayala Museum is giving away free museum admission slots for August 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The museum aims to have its visitors be among the first to experience the app features, which include multimedia content in various exhibitions, guided by audio tours, behind-the-scenes videos, interactive maps, themed tours, and more.
The Ayala Museum, founded in 1967 through the vision of artist Fernando Zóbel, has long been a cultural landmark in Makati. Famous for its 63 handcrafted hardwood dioramas from Paete, Laguna woodcarvers, the museum has evolved into a hub of contemporary exhibitions and interactive experiences. Following renovations since 2019, it reopened with new spaces designed for modern audiences.
Supported by the Ayala Foundation, the Filipinas Heritage Library is located on the sixth floor of the Ayala Museum. The premier digital research hub explores Philippine arts, history, and culture. It houses a mix of prestigious and contemporary materials, from the Roderick Hall Memorial Collection of World War II documents, the Retrato Collection of over 40,000 photographs, the presidential papers of Elpidio Quirino, and the family collection of Manuel L. Quezon. Visitors can also browse their 12,000 physical books available in its collection. Its ongoing digitization project ensures much of this content is now accessible online while helping build community libraries in its OurLibrary program.
By joining Bloomberg Connects, a mobile app of guides to over 100 museums, galleries, parks, and spaces, Ayala Museum and FHL now stand with institutions, extending their reach to global viewers. Whether you’re a student, a history enthusiast, or an explorer, the digital guide opens the doors of the museum to those who seek to know more about the rich story of the Filipino people.
