Are you ready for a new global girl group representing Asia? With its rising roster of talents, AKB48’s international agency, Superball Inc., has debuted a new girl group featuring idols from different sister units in Asia—Quadlips is composed of Hina (from Japan’s SKE48), Feni (from Indonesia’s JKT48), Fame (from Thailand’s BNK48), and Cole (from the Philippines’ MNL48).
The project was first announced at BNK48’s “DEPART’CHER” graduation concert in October 2023, marking the commencement of their cross-cultural venture. Debuting at the T-Pop Showcase 2024 in Tokyo, Japan with their digital single “Catch Me Kiss Me,” Quadlips has since released multiple singles in the hip-hop and R&B genre including “Over drive,” “Checklist,” “Lipstick,” and “Lip Gloss.” Since then, the pop fusion group has made appearances in events such as the AKB48 Group Live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, BLOOM FEST in Bandung, Indonesia, and the MNL48 “Reboot and Rise” concert in Quezon City, Philippines.
Staying true to AKB48 Group’s concept of “idols you can meet”, Quadlips flourished on fan engagements, including their first Tokyo Fan Meet in 2024, followed by their Jakarta Fan Meet in Indonesia, and again in Tokyo this year.
Carrying the group’s momentum into 2025, Superball entered a management partnership with A-Nexus to help connect Quadlips to global markets, releasing “Wings Grow Back” as the group’s first single under the new collaboration to showcase their evolving artistic range. Most recently, Quadlips released a new single this August—“IDGA” (“I Don’t Give A”)—acclaimed as a powerful anthem of self-empowerment, which marks their official launch in the Philippines.
Quadlip continues to set a rapid pace, expanding their repertoire and earning recognition within the regional music scene. What do you want to see Quadlips do next? Let us know in the comments!
