Hawkers, South Korea’s number one fast food chain, is arriving soon! Multinational food group Lotte GRS has announced that it is bringing Lotteria to Malaysia and Singapore this 2025.

Lotteria first opened its doors in Korea way back in 1979, and has since added unique items to its menu throughout the years, like bulgogi burgers, bibim rice burgers, and “Shake It” fries. The food chain has over 1,600 stores across seven countries, including Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, and most recently a US outlet in Orange County, California.

After its most recent global expansion, Loterria is set to open branches in Malaysia in partnership with food group Serai Group, and in Singapore in partnership with F&B and hospitality group Katrina Group. This Southeast Asian expansion is expected to open over 30 branches across both countries.

“Given the brand’s massive popularity in South Korea and its emphasis on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are confident that Lotteria will resonate with Singaporeans and further enhance our F&B portfolio,” said Mr Alan Goh, chief executive and founder of Katrina Group, in a press statement.

Serai group also shared in a LinkedIn post that “The partnership combines Serai Group’s deep understanding of Malaysian tastes with LOTTERIA’s global expertise, delivering a fresh and exciting fast-food experience to local diners.”
