Design Week Philippines returns for its 14th edition, organized by the DTI – Design Center of the Philippines to unite creative communities nationwide to celebrate Philippine design.
Design Week Philippines aims to gather Philippine creatives and designers for talks, workshops, tours, and experiences, catering to the growing design scene and the evolution of local enterprise along with it. With the theme “Towards Ginhawa”, the event emphasizes the Filipino concept of holistic well-being, prosperity, and purpose.
The event originated from a Presidential Proclamation No. 277 made by the late President Benigno S. Aquino III, declaring the third week of March and October as “Design Week Philippines,” with the goal of showcasing the creativity and design capability of local manufacturers, and conserving culture through art.
The festival grew significantly, recently holding simultaneous activities across the country. This year, Design Week Philippines partnered with 134 organizations, creative hubs, communities, and MSMEs to organize 127 events across 27 cities and municipalities in 14 regions nationwide.
Catch fresh, diverse and creative explorations of design at Design Week Philippines from October 11 to 18 and click here to register for the opening festivities.
