Founded in 2019, Art Jakarta prides itself on being an Asian event that highlights Indonesia as a bustling center for regional trade. Tom Tandio, fair director, shared in an interview with Monacle, “We want to make sure that Art Jakarta is a 100 percent Asian event. We have to find a unique angle, and this is the perfect event for people who want to focus on Asian artworks.”

Art Jakarta 2025 ran from October 3 to 5 at the JIExpo Kemayoran, showcasing Southeast Asia’s artistic flair throughout 75 galleries from 16 Asian countries. It included collaborative galleries with Esther Schipper (Berlin), Kaikai Kiki (Japan), Tina Keng Gallery (Taiwan), Julius Baer (Indonesia), and more. Whether you were looking to buy an artwork or bask in the beauty of Southeast Asia’s artistic expression, Art Jakarta gave everyone a unique experience.
