Komikon Grande Celebrates 20 Years of Hosting Philippine Comics

The Philippine komiks scene is alive and thriving!

Komikon is back to celebrate 20 years with Komikon Grande 2025, championing Filipino creators and giving a creative space for the sequential arts and design. Komikon Grande 2025 features two-days of all out celebration, featuring a stacked lineup of artists and comic creators including Berlin Magsaysay, creator of Combatron; Rexy Dorado and John Ray Bumanglag, the duo working on Maharlika; and Maou No Sekai, creator of La Historia, Propaganda Project, and Earth Defense Squadron Animato.

Komikon will also include classic sketch-offs, signings, and interaction with beloved artists such as HK Michael, Aaron Felizmenio, Geebo Vigonte, Aldin Viray, Freely Abrigo, Amos “The Fanboy” Villar, Rommel Estanislao, and Jann Galino.

Aside from meet and greets, the convention will feature live talks about the Filipino komiks industry and its evolving landscape by professionals in the field, and special screenings of films about about the local scene like Komiks with a K by Jay Ignacio and Alimuom by Keith Sicat.

Komikon Grande 2025 will be held from October 25 to 26 at the Bayanihan Center, Unilab Compound in Pasig City.

Tickets will be available for walk-ins at Php 250 for a two-day pass, Php 150 for a one-day pass, and Php 100 for discounted one-day passes for students (up to Senior High), PWDs, and senior citizens. For more information on the event, visit www.komikon.org.
