Calling all photography enthusiasts—Photo Hanoi ‘25, an international photography biennale, is starting next month! The event invites local and international photographers to showcase their talents in month-long activities. The event is also supported by UNESCO and a wide network of local and international partners, helping its 2025 edition come to life.
Photo Hanoi is the first international photography biennale in Vietnam, born from the collaboration of the French Institute and the People’s Committee of Hanoi City in 2023. Now on its third run, Photo Hanoi ’25 will have 22 solo and group exhibitions from 160 visual artists, photographers, curators, and experts from Belgium, Cambodia, China, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. The exhibits will feature themes of nostalgia, movement, climate change, Vietnam’s history, and more.
There will also be 29 side events like workshops, book launches, dialogues with artists, and more, opening all over Hanoi that visitors can join. Photo Hanoi ‘25 aims to become a center for multidimensional and multicultural dialogue of international photographers, artists, researchers, and art educators, so don’t be shy and join in on the conversation.
