From Pineapple Peels to Cleaning Products: How the Clean Earth Project Upcycles Waste to Wonder

Spread the love

Pineapples are usually the go-to sweet-and-sour fruit for people in Southeast Asia, but what if we told you that their peels can also be put to good use?

The Clean Earth Project recently launched its new campaign, “Powerfully Clean, Naturally Gentle,” which infuses its home care line with eco-enzyme technology made from upcycled pineapple waste. Using discarded peels, the cleaning solution is made naturally, resulting in products that can clean through just about hard-stick grease and stains, without having to rely on harmful chemicals. The products also come in other scents such as basil, mint, and orange, making homes clean, toxin-free and fresh-smelling.

Founded in 2019, the Clean Earth Project aims to be a one-stop shop for all things eco-friendly while reducing its environmental impact. The brand’s founder, Charlotte Türk, is a proud MBA graduate of De La Salle University and a highly certified expert in Agricultural, Climate and Renewable Energy, and Adaptation Finance from Frankfurt School Sustainable World Academy. With her strong background in climate financing, she has used her knowledge to do good for the environment.

The sustainable lifestyle brand sources their products from local communities, getting them involved in the production process while building strong relationships within the community. They then go through a small batch production  which ensures that resources are not wasted throughout the entire process. Lastly, the company uses sustainable, biodegradable, reusable and recyclable materials, finding ways to reduce waste all throughout the manufacturing process.

Aside from cleaning sprays, the Clean Earth Project also produces dishwashing liquids, laundry detergents, baby toy and surface cleaners, baby bottle cleansers, deodorizing sprays, and more. Not only are these products tough on dirt, they also lower carbon emissions by being produced through natural fermentation without relying on harsh chemicals.

Through the “Powerfully Clean, Naturally Gentle” campaign, the Clean Earth Movement urges families to reduce their environmental impact by using eco-enzyme products that support a cleaner home and a greener planet.
