Nintendo is making games more accessible for Southeast Asians! The company recently announced that its full eShop and Switch Online services are now available in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Nintendo eShop is the official online store where fans can purchase titles for their Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 systems directly. This option allows users to enjoy games through physical cards, with digital copies of the games that can be saved to the console or microSD Express cards for Switch or Switch 2. Aside from the games, the eShop also offers access to downloadable content like new stages, characters, items, and more, depending on the game.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch Online is made specifically for the convenience of Switch and Switch 2 users. Where the eShop is for purchases, this service allows users perks like online play, game chat, access to a curated library filled with Nintendo classics, a music library from Nintendo games, and additional benefits to suit any Nintendo gamers’ needs.

Depending on which Southeast Asian country you’re in, you can use your country’s card to buy your games at an affordable price. If you want to make your purchase from a different country, you will have to buy Nintendo eShop Gift Cards through Lazada or Shopee.

Nintendo also announced that both the eShop and Switch Online services will be available in the Philippines as soon as they finalize the details.
