Can you hear that? The hacking of an axe is paving the way for the dark comedy sequel, Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come. Searchlight recently revealed a new trailer and first look photos of the film.
Ready Or Not premiered in 2018, following the story of Grace (Samara Weaving) as she marries into the wealthy Le Domas family. However, on the eve of the wedding, she has to participate in a deadly family tradition. As Grace desperately tries to survive the night, she soon finds a way to hide and turn the tables on her challenging in-laws.
The sequel is set after Grace survives her game with her in-laws. Alongside her sister Faith (Kathryn Newton), the duo have to beat four other families competing for the powerful “throne” in a winner takes all match.

The first look photos reveal snippets from the second film, including sibling duo running and hiding from their competitors. Some photos show Grace wearing the same dress she wore from the first film, implying that she is thrown directly into the battle royale after her fateful night with the Le Domas in the first film.

Joining Weaving and Newton are Elijah Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Cronenberg, Olivia Cheng, Nestor Carbonell, and Maia Jae. While their roles have not yet been disclosed, based on the images and teaser clip, Wood seems to be playing a lawyer who is tasked to manage the Le Domas’ last will and testament, while the rest are members of the four families entering the battleground to win the power and estate that the Le Domas left behind.
Catch Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come in theaters in April 2026.
