The Bangkok Music Society (BMS) invites you to share the spirit of the holidays with them on December 7 for A Celebration of Carols concert!
The BMS was established in 1991 and is considered one of the oldest musical groups in Thailand that provides opportunities for musicians to perform for public audiences. It was founded by one of Thailand’s foremost architects, Amnad Khitapanna, who is also an accomplished singer and pianist. The BMS choir and orchestra is composed of singers from all nationalities and abilities, all working together to perform seasonal concerts and gigs for in-house concerts, fundraising activities, and other partnership events.

This coming December, BMS is holding its Christmas concert, with acclaimed pianist Morakot Cherdchu-gnarm and new music director Simon Green. The performance is divided into two halves, with the first containing nine novel carols composed by Benjamin Britten during World War II while on a transatlantic ship. The second half features eclectic carols—not all explicitly associated with the holidays, but exploring the potential of what a carol could be. The performances will range from solos performed by BMS choir members to the full adult choir and piano version of Julius Harrison in 1955 for Britten’s carols.
Grab your tickets at the Ticketmelon website and catch the Bangkok Music Society’s A Ceremony of Carols in Oriental Residence Bangkok this December 7!
