The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the shortlist for the 98th Academy Awards. With hundreds of submissions across 12 categories, Sinners and Wicked: For Good emerged as the top potential nominees with eight each, followed by Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein with 6, and Oliver Laxe’s Sirat and sports film F1 with 5 each.

Voting for the categories will open on January 12, 2026 until January 16 here. The ceremony will be at at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and catch the live telecast of the awarding ceremony on ABC on March 15, 2026 in more than 200 countries worldwide.
