Every book lover dreams of going on a big book shopping spree – if only books didn’t leave such a big gaping hole in our savings.
This February, treat yourself or your book-loving SO (if you’re one of the lucky ones to have one) to a book shopping spree because Big Bad Wolf will be back for the third time in the Philippines on Valentine’s Day! Dubbed as the world’s biggest book sale, Big Bad Wolf has free admission and you can score books with discounts ranging from 50-90 percent and choose from 2 million new books. The best part is they will be open for 24 hours every day – they open their doors on February 14 at 9AM and won’t be closing until February 24 at 11:59PM at the World Trade Center in Pasay – so you can choose to go at any time of the day.

This year, in light of the recent Taal Volcano eruption, Big Bad Wolf is pledging aid for the people of Tagaytay through their partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK), who has been a beneficiary since the first time they set foot in the Philippines in 2018. Through the book sales, they donated Php 2 million to GK that year, which was used to build and refurnish libraries in their different communities.
Big Bad Wolf originated in Malaysia and first opened its doors to the public in 2009. They have since traveled to other Asian countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Taiwan, Pakistan, Myanmar, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. They feature books from all genres, from both popular and obscure authors, with a mission to cultivate reading habits in as many people as possible by making books more affordable and accessible.
