Cats
The adaptation of the musical fantasy, Cats is based on the classic Broadway play about the Jellicle cats competing to ascend to the Heaviside layer and be reborn into a new life. Join the star-studded cast with Taylor Swift, Idris Alba, Judi Dench, Jennifer Hudson and Francesca Hayward as they sing their hearts out for the Jellicle ball this January 8!
More than Blue
A story of man with a terminal illness who tries to find a suitable man for his fiancé to marry before he dies, More than Blue is the remake of a South Korean film with the same name. Ready your tissues for More than Blue, exclusively in SM Cinemas this January 8.
Underwater
When an earthquake devastates their underwater laboratory, a group of underwater researchers must find a way to get to safety before it collapses on them. Underwater stars Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher, Jr., Mamoudou Athie, Gunner Wright, and T. J. Miller, in cinemas this January 15.
Dolittle
Coming to theatres this January 29, Robert Downey Jr. stars as Dr. Dolittle, an eccentric doctor and veterinarian in Victorian England who can talk to animals. Seven years after his wife passes a way and he becomes a hermit, Queen Victoria falls gravely ill and he is forced to leave his secluded home in Dolittle Manor and journey to a mythical island to search for a cure.
Birds of Prey (and Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)
Fan favorite from DC’s Suicide squad, Harley Quinn gets her own time to shine! In Birds of Prey Harley teams up with heroines Black Canary, Helena Bertinelli, and Renee Montoya to protect a girl at all costs. Watch out for Birds of Prey in cinemas this February 8.
Little Women
A heart-warming and relevant retelling of a beloved classic tale of love and sisterhood, Little Women is directed by acclaimed director Greta Gerwig. Starring Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Soairse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet, Little Women will be on theatres this February 19!
Onward
An exciting animated film set in a fantasy world filled with magical creatures but has long lost its sense of Magic because of modernization. Onwards is a tale about two teenage elf brothers, voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, who embark on a quest after a spell that would bring back their deceased father for 24 hours goes awry. Watch out for Onwards this coming March 4!
A Quite Place: Part II
The anticipated sequel of the hit film A Quiet Place, we delve back into the eerie and horrifying world created by its director, John Krasinski. A Quiet Place Part 2 will be coming to theaters this March 18.
Mulan
In this much-anticipated live-adaptation of the classic Disney princess, based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, we follow a woman who disguises as a man in order to save her ailing father from being forced to fight in the war. See Mulan’s battles and her journey to finding her true self, in theatres this March 25.
Black Widow
A prequel that all Marvel fans have been waiting for, Black Widow will be following Natahsa Romanov after the events of the Captain America: Civil War, when she is left alone and must confront her past. In theatres this April 29.
Artemis Fowl
Based on the first book of the bestselling fantasy series, the movie follows a 12-year-old boy who belongs in long line of criminal masterminds as he tries to find his father that mysteriously disappeared. Artemis Fowl will be released in cinemas this May 27.
Wonder Woman: 1984
Another long-awaited sequel from the DC universe, Gal Gadot makes a comeback in Wonder Woman: 1984, facing off with an ancient goddess, Cheetah. The trailer also revealed the appearance of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Mark your calendars because Wonder Woman: 1984 will premiere in theatres this June 4.
I’m Drunk I Love You Too
Sequel to I’m Drunk I Love You, will be set in 2022, 7 years after the first movie. No official news has been announced as to what the sequel’s plot will be about but it was Initially titled, I Love You, I Do, and this has gotten fans to speculate that Carson, played by Maja Salvador, and Dio, played by Paulo Avelino, will get married in the film. None of it may be official yet but we’re still looking forward to it, showing on cinemas this July 29.
Eternals
An ancient race of people with superhuman powers, the Eternals is a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The star-studded cast of the Eternals include include Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Kit Harrington and Lauren Ridloff among others. Eternals will also feature the first deaf superhero in the MCU. Marvel is keeping the details of the film under the wraps, but we know from the comics that it shares connections with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Watch out for Eternals coming to theaters this November 6!
