From the original creators of the ‘Saw’ franchise, and director of Insidious Chapter 3, Leigh Whannel, comes another bone-chilling thriller, The Invisible Man.
Cecilia Kass (played by Elisabeth Moss, known for her roles in The Handmaid’s Tale and Us) tries to escape a violent and abusive relationship with her partner Adrian Griffin (played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen from Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House), a brilliant but controlling scientist. As Cecilia goes into hiding, aided by her sister Alice (played by Harriet Dyer, known for her lead role in NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend James (played by Aldis Hodge from Straight Outta Compton fame) and his teenage daughter Sydney (played by Storm Reid, the breakout star from HBO’s Euphoria), she would never have expected what her partner’s violent obsessions would lead to.
After being left by Cecilia, Adrian commits suicide and leaves a generous portion of his fortune to his ex. Cecilia, however, is skeptical of this turn of events and suspects Adrian’s death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turn lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions gives us a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by the classic monster character from the imagination of legendary sci-fi writer HG Wells. The Invisible man is coming to Philippine Cinemas this February 26, Singapore on February 27 and Indonesia this coming February 28.
