He possesses a near-perfect, never-gets-old appearance, enhanced physical abilities. Every ten years, he changes his profession and moves from one place to another. Just as when he only has three months left before leaving the Earth, Do Min-Joon meets Cheon Song-yi (Jun Ji-hyun), a famous Hallyu actress who suddenly becomes his next-door neighbor.

“The actors and actresses portrayed their characters very well. It’s a roller coaster of romance, comedy, crime, historical, sci-fi, and emotional moments are wrapped up in 21 episodes. Every episode is a story to watch,” shared Alex San Juan, a K-drama fan.

Before Crash Landing On You, Hyun Bin showed his acting prowess in Secret Garden 10 years ago —another fantasy, rom-com you should binge-watch again and again!

The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), an arrogant and eccentric CEO who owns a prestigious shopping mall, and Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a poor and humble stuntwoman. The twist kicks off when both of them meet a sorcerer in a deserted forest who gave them spell-casted wines. When the two take the drink separately, they wake up the next morning to find that their souls have switched.

Angelica Villanueva, a fan of the series, praised how Secret Garden’s story was well-crafted. “Secret Garden shows another side of Hyun Bin. Although you may find his character’s personality often toxic, you’ll appreciate his acting skills especially when their souls switched,” she said.

Goblin (2016)

Korean producers keep thinking out of the box, serving us unique series to enjoy. For instance, Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern-day goblin (Gong Yoo) who lives for more than 900 years and seeks to end his cursed immortal life. But this will be granted only if he finds his predestined human bride (Kim Go-Eun) who has the capability to see and remove the mythical sword piercing his chest. That’s when he can only die and resurrect.

Aside from the chemistry between the lead couple, Goblin’s amusing friendship with the Grim Reaper is also what puts the epic tale in the limelight. If you’re up for a series that make you ugly cry, Goblin is a great choice.

If you’re looking for something to watch again that is light and funny during quarantine, this can be the best option. Weightlifting Fair Kim Bok Joo emphasizes the story about chasing dreams, falling in love, and real friendship.

This cheerful and swoon-worthy drama revolves around the life of Kim Bok-Joo (Lee Sung-Kyung) who is a weightlifter student in a sports school until she begins to doubt her passion for the said profession. Although it may not have a complex plot as what K-dramas usually possesses, the undeniable chemistry between Kim Bok-Joo and Jung Joon-Hyung (Nam Joo-Hyuk) makes the series even better.
