It remains a big Hollywood mystery as to which actor will be lucky enough to take over Daniel Craig as James Bond in the 007 franchise.
Following Craig’s final stint as the iconic special agent in the upcoming No Time To Die, fans have been in serious speculation on the identity of the next Bond. Most eyes have been on three names: Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and Henry Cavill.
In a recent interview with GQ, Henry Cavill opens up about the possibility of being the next James Bond, and that he would be very interested in an opportunity opens.
“If Barbara [Bond producer Barbara Broccoli] and Mike [co-producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would jump at the opportunity. At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting,” Cavill said.
Henry Cavill was once close to playing James Bond before as he auditioned for the role when he was 22. Of course, Daniel Craig landed the role with Casino Royale being his debut film but it would be very interesting what a pre-Man of Steel Cavill can accomplish with the role at a younger age.
