LIST OF WINNERS: 6th Wish Music Awards

Wish 107.5 FM brings music and charity together for the 6^th Wish Music Awards, their annual show celebrating the best of OPM (Original Pinoy Music).

In light of the recent challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Wish Music Awards (WMAs) held its program at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last January 17 (Sunday) with limited number of people comprised of hosts, performers, industry representatives and organizers, and strict health protocols in place.

To ensure that everyone at home will get to watch the show, the WMAs was livestreamed on the Wish YouTube channel.

A total of 70 acts are part of the nominations for this year’s WMAs, all of which complying to Wish FM’s rules of rendering Wish Bus performances and released songs within the eligibility period (November 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020).

The public were also given a chance to vote online through Wish FM’s website and mobile app. A record-breaking 3.9 million online public votes were made this year.

The winners of this year’s WMAs were also highlighted for paying their advocacies forward. PHP 100,000 was given to each of the winning acts’ chosen beneficiaries, while the artists received PHP 25,000.

Donations were given to the National Live Events Coalition PH, Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawait, Roadie Superstar, and the Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc. to support the affected workers in the live events and music industries during the pandemic.

“Together with the whole music industry, we will continue to pray to the Almighty for strength, resilience, and hope — dahil alam natin na ang Dios ang mag-iingat sa ating mga puso’t isipan (because we know that God will keep our hearts and minds),” Wish 107.5’s President and CEO Kuya Daniel Razon said.
