SEA Wave - Shin Ultraman

Ultraman is a giant alien that is part of the Science Patrol, an anti-monster defense agency that combats with alien invaders and giant monsters. A lot of details seem to be kept closely similar to the story’s traditional look and its roots by the looks of it, but you can be rest assured that this will be a fresh take on this iconic hero series.

The film is directed by Shinji Higuchi, who also directed Attack on Titan, and produced by Hideaki Anno. Both have also worked together previously in 2016 with the award-winning film, Shin Godzilla. If you don’t know what to expect from this adaptation of the 1966 series, prepare yourself as early as now because Shin Ultraman is expected to be screened in Japanese theaters by summer of 2021.
