You will now be able to control the “King of Monsters” with the tip of your fingers this 2021! TOHO Games, the game division of Japanese movie studio Toho Co., has announced the release of three new Godzilla mobile games this year to accompany the release of Godzilla vs Kong on HBO Max. Run Godzilla is ready and available for iOS and Android users to download and play worldwide, with Godzilla Destruction and Godzilla Battle Line set to launch this April.
Run Godzilla is an idle game where you have to raise baby Godzilla as your own, showering it with love, food and affection until the day it will inevitably leave the nest. This Tamagotchi-like game takes places in a small village on a faraway planet, with the goal being to raise Godzilla as a strong independent kaiju (giant monster) who can decimate an entire city with one atomic breath. But even as Godzilla has to leave home in search of cities to destroy, it leaves behind new baby kaiju that the village can once again raise as their own, thus repeating the whole process.
Godzilla Battle Line is perfect for kaiju enthusiasts who enjoy connecting with other people from around about their interests. The main purpose of this game is to build a roster of kaiju to fight in epic battles against other kaiju teams made by other players from all over the world. Create your own team of world-class all-star kaiju and get ready to fight!
If you like games that are exciting, easy and destructive, then you will definitely enjoy Godzilla Destruction. It’s a game with a simple premise – Godzilla needs your help to cause massive unbridled destruction. Get a glimpse of how the world will look like with the King of Monsters in charge. Lucky for you, pre-registration for this game is open to everyone, with special awards and bonuses for pre-registrants upon the game’s release! Simply follow the Facebook and Twitter accounts of the game for more information.
Since 1954, Godzilla has been spreading havoc in television, cinema and other media around world, and over the years it has definitely been a challenge for many companies to fit this 390-foot titan into our screens. But Keiji Ota, Director and Chief Godzilla Officer at TOHO, assures us that “TOHO has been deeply involved with the production process for all three games since the early planning stages,” bringing hope that the final product will not disappoint their fans.
The King of Monsters and his crew have been around for 67 years, and TOHO plans to keep Godzilla and kaijus alive and kicking for the next generations to come. “All the staff involved in the project have worked together to keep alive the spirit of the Godzilla series, while also creating a ‘new Godzilla’ specially for the mobile game world. Whether you play on your way to work or school, or during your time off, we hope these games will help you feel closer to Godzilla in your everyday life.” Ota said.
Looks like we will be spending this summer immersing ourselves in the world of Godzilla through a new movie release and three new games! Let us know in the comments below which game you’re looking forward to playing the most!
