Philippine telecommunications company TNT has announced that they recently tapped three of Thailand’s most popular stars – Mario Maurer, Nonkul Chanon, and Gulf Kanawut – as their new brand ambassadors.

The three Thai stars will headline the telco brand’s “Kilig Saya” campaign, together with Filipino pop singer Sarah Geronimo and actress Sue Ramirez.

“Filipinos and Thais have always had mutual appreciation for each other’s wealth of entertainment content, but we’ve seen this grow even bigger recently as more Filipinos enjoy easy access to streaming platforms and social media through TNT’s value-packed promos,” said Jane J. Basas, SVP and head of consumer wireless business at Smart.

Basas added that, “as TNT enables Filipinos to follow their favorite Thai superstars Mario Maurer, Gulf Kanawut, and Nonkul Chanon on their smartphone, we’re now bringing these Thai actors even closer to them as the newest TNT KaTropas in our latest campaign.”

Chanon made waves as the star of Bad Genius, Thailand’s highest-grossing film of 2017, while Kanawut recently gained popularity for starring in the BL show TharnType The Series. Meanwhile, Maurer is a well-recognized name with a massive fan base in the Philippines, having first starred in the popular film Crazy Little Thing Called Love in 2010 and in Star Cinema’s Suddenly It’s Magic back in 2012.
