The long-awaited reunion is finally here! Fans of the iconic ‘90s sitcom Friends have been waiting for a reunion of their beloved cast members, and their dream is finally coming true as HBO Max will be premiering the Friends: The Reunion on May 27.
Filmed on Warner Bros. Studios Stage 24, the same sound stage used to film all of the series’ episodes from season 2 onwards, the Friends special is not a continuation of the original storyline, but will instead have the six main cast members – Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer – look back at the show.
Originally set to film last year on May 27, 2020, Friends: The Reunion was continuously pushed back due to the pandemic. Now, exactly a year later, the special will premiere on HBO Max, the channel’s subscription video on demand streaming service.
The reunion will feature 18 celebrities as their guest stars including BTS, Cara Delevigne, Christina Pickles, Cindy Crawford, David Beckham, Elliot Gould, James Corden, James Michael Tyler, Justin Bieber, Kit Harington, Lady Gaga, Larry Hankin, Maggie Wheeler, Malala Yousafzai, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, Thomas Lennon and Tom Selleck.
With both actual former guest stars and celebrity fans of the sitcom, there is no doubt that the Friends reunion will be met with much anticipation. Watch the official trailer below!
