The annual Singapore Food Festival (SFF) returns this year with the theme “Savor Singapore in Every Bite.” This year’s edition features a hybrid of over 50 physical and online gastronomic activities.

Despite the travel restrictions due to the ongoing crisis, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) continues to spotlight the country’s rich food heritage through virtual food tours, documentary features, partner recipe videos, and a special virtual live cooking masterclass.
“Singapore Food Festival through the years has stayed true to what it is about – all things Singapore food by following the journey from the basics to modern takes of younger chefs, but of course, not forgetting the heritage as well. During Covid times, what we really try to do is to incorporate new technology to continue to stay in touch with everyone and to continue to celebrate the Singapore food that we all love,” said Ruby Liu, Singapore Tourism Board Area Director for the Philippines, in a virtual launch.

Happening until September 12, one of the highlights of SFF 2021 is the Boyster Omelette Four-Hands Masterclass headed by chef JP Anglo of Sarsa Kitchen and chef Bjorn Shen of Artichoke where they will present their unique renditions of the signature Singaporean delicacy often found in hawker stalls around the city-state. It will be broadcasted live on VisitSingaporePH’s Facebook page this Sunday, August 29 at 6 p.m.
