Japanese Pokémon fans rejoice! Universal Studios Japan just made a major announcement regarding our favorite franchise about lovable pocket monsters.
The theme park announced that it has joined forces with The Pokémon Company to create Pokémon-themed immersive experiences for visitors, which will begin in 2022.
Specific details about the project have yet to be announced, but Universal Studios Japan shared via Twitter that fans should expect more than a mere food or merchandise stand and should prepare for a “groundbreaking entertainment that will immerse guests into the world of Pokémon with innovative technology and creativity in 2022.”
