If you’re cruising along Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay and see furious kaiju monsters headed your way, don’t you worry because Ultraman is here to save the day!
As part of the 55th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan, The Singapore Tourism Board created a three-part episode miniseries entitled Ultraman: A New Power of Singapore that aims to convey the charm of Singapore from a new perspective.
The series was directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi, the original director of Ultraman Z (2020) and Ultrman Orb (2016). And with episode one of the new Ultraman miniseries already out, fans are eager and excited for the release of the next episodes over December.
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has also shared his reactions to the first clip, saying: “Relieved to know that one of my regular Jalan Jalan spots is safe under the protection of Ultraman!” Mr. Lee also said he’s “looking forward to seeing where on our island Ultraman appears next!”
