It’s about to be a treat for Filipinos as the acclaimed Everything Everywhere All at Once is now joining the Philippines’ list of movie lineups showing this June.

TBA Studios – the studio behind renowned Filipino films like Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneralannounced that the movie will finally be shown on the big screens in the  Philippines starting June 29.

The film is about an exhausted Chinese-American woman named Evelyn – played by Michelle Yeoh (known from Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings) – who struggles in her finances, including paying her taxes. As if these problems aren’t wearying enough, she also somehow ends up in a different world where she learns that she has to “save the multiverse” – along with her different versions across the universes.

The film is directed by brothers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, more known as the Daniels. Alongside Michelle Yeoh are other casts such as Stephanie Hsu (TV’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies), Jenny Slate (Venom), Harry Shum, Jr. (Crazy Rich Asians) with James Hong (Kung Fu Panda), and Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween).

Everything Everywhere All at Once became film studio A24’s highest-grossing title, having earned around $61 million across its North American box offices on its 11th weekend of release, and a total of $79 million worldwide so far.

The film is expected to surpass Hereditary (2008) as A24’s highest-grossing film worldwide.

It currently has a 95% “Tomatometer” on Rotten Tomatoes – rated by critics as a film that “has it all”, Everything Everywhere All at Once sure lives up to the high standards of a comedy/sci-fi drama.

“A pure firework display of technical bravado, wild invention, emotional storytelling, comedic genius, action mastery and outstanding performances, Everything Everywhere All At Once is everything cinema was invented for”, the Empire Magazine critic, Ben Travis, stated.

“Everything Everywhere All at Once is a film of such much-ness. Rich performances (Hong and Hsu should also be included here) collide with big ideas, wrapped in a nuanced understanding of how we treat each other. And there are butt jokes. So many wonderful, dumb butt jokes. What more could you ask for?” said Clarisse Loughrey, chief film critic of The Independent.

Everything Everywhere All at Once is the first distribution deal between A24 and TBA Studios.

“Filipino movie audiences deserve to see this film on the big screen. It teaches us to believe in ourselves, keep going despite adversities, and embrace everything everywhere all at once,” said TBA Studios Executive Vice President and General Manager Daphne O. Chiu in a statement.

To all our Filipino audiences, don’t miss out on this spectacular film coming to your theaters this June 29, 2022! Watch the trailer of ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ here:
