Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series is set to air this August 2022!

Have you missed this most iconic one-line superhero shout? Well, you will hear it again every night starting from August because Darna is coming back to Philippine television again after so many years!
Darna is a Filipino superheroine based on a comic character of the same name. The iconic hero’s first appearance was on Pilipino Komiks #77 last May 13, 1950 and has since been portrayed by Filipino actresses from generation to generation.
This much-anticipated series has been the talk in town! It seems like everyone can’t wait to finally see it on their TV screens. But while you are still waiting for its release, let’s take a look first at the high five things you need to know about DARNA: The TV Series.
THE CAST
The main characters in the TV series will be played by Jane De Leon as Darna, Iza Calzado as Leonor Custodio, Joshua Garcia as Brian Robles, Zaijian Jaranilla as Ding and Janella Salvador as Valentina.
Noah Vallesteros, Rio Locsin and Dawn Chang and many more will also be in the series.

THE POSTER
LOOK: Official Poster of DARNA: The TV Series was released last July 6, 2022 by ABS-CBN on their facebook page. The post got 37K reacts, 1.7K comments and 2.9K shares and counting. The creator of the poster receives praises from netizens in creating the poster a little more appealing by making the setting look like Darna’s headdress and adding Valentina and the Filipino spirit in the concept.
DARNA: THE SERIES TRAILER
WATCH: The official trailer DARNA: The TV Series premiered last July 7, 2022 on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Youtube channel following the release of the official poster. The trailer has shown the problems and tragedies to be faced by the world and how Narda, played by Jane De Leon, was being trained for her mission to save the world.
TWO DARNA
In the trailer, it was also shown that aside from being Darna’s mother, Iza Calzado’s role as Leonor Custodio will also be playing the first Darna and will be the one to pass the magical stone to Narda (Jane De Leon.) So, that will be two darna in one series!

DARNA’S FIRST FLIGHT
DARNA: The TV Series is set to premiere in August 2022 on Kapamilya platforms. Still no words on the exact day of airing but what is sure is that the poster, cast, and trailer set a high expectation to the audience and the series seems propitious.
