Disney+, the official streaming service of Disney, is finally available in the Philippines. This long-anticipated launch is part of the streamer’s slow roll-out in the region after Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
The Disney+ app can be accessed on smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, gaming consoles, set-top boxes, and Smart TVs. You can download the app now via Google Play and App Store.
As an introductory rate, Filipinos can subscribe to Disney+ for Php 159 per month for Mobile Plan (Php 1,150 annually) or Php 369 per month for Premium Plan (Php 2,950 annually).
The Mobile Plan can only be streamed in 1 device (phone and tablet) while the Premium Plan can be streamed by 4 devices at once (phone, tablet, laptop and TV).
What to expect from Disney+?
Disney+ offers a wide variety of films and television content from Disney and its owned studios/ companies. Aside from the classic Disney animated films, you can expect to binge the latest releases from Marvel Studios, LucasFilms, Pixar, 20th Century Studios and National Geographic.
Among the most popular titles in the streaming platform include “Avengers: Endgame”, “Wandavision”, “The Mandalorian”, “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, “Snowdrop”, “Encanto”, “Lightyear”, “Hamilton” and more.
In the next few months, Disney+ is expected to release “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” and soon, the streaming premiere of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which is currently out in cinemas.
