“Twilight” is getting a TV series adaptation

From the cinemas to your television, hit book and film series “Twilight Saga” is reportedly getting a series adaptation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the television adaptation is in early development under Lionsgate Television with series author Stephanie Meyer closely involved in the rumored series.

Meyer, who co-wrote the scripts for the smash series’ five film adaptation, is rumored to work alongside one of the original movie producers, Wyck Godfrey as Executive Producer and Erik Feig, the former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president.

The hit film series came out between 2008 and 2012 which launched the careers of stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner to fame. The entire film franchise had grossed $3.4 billion worldwide.

Twilight’s television adaptation follows the announcement a week before, of JK Rowling’s hit Harry Potter series’ early development of its television adaptation. What a treat to Twilight fandom and Potterheads alike.
