Renowned queen of Thai street food Supinya “Jay Fai” Junsuta is back and more daring than ever. Jay Fai made a name for herself with her eponymously named Michelin star restaurant. Now known as a culinary institution in Bangkok, Jay Fai – both the chef and restaurant – is favored by locals and tourists alike for unparalleled seafood and street food dishes served with the freshest ingredients.
After being featured on Netflix’s Street Food (2019) docuseries, the street food queen is cooking up something new – a collaboration with Korean food and beverage company Nongshim’s Shin Ramyun brand to bring us new Thai-inspired flavors of instant noodles.
Shin Ramyun is the best-selling instant noodle brand of Nongshim, known for creating classic flavors such as Black Noodle Soup, which was ranked as the best instant noodles in the world in a survey among chefs, cookbook authors and noodle enthusiasts by the New York Times.

This collaboration came about as the brainchild of Honest Trading CEO Ms. Sooin Kim, importer of Nongshim in Thailand. As a big fan of Jay Fai, Ms. Kim invited Nongshim executive Mr. Lee Yong-Jae to enjoy Jay Fai’s cooking at her restaurant – and all the rest, as they say, was history. In a move that surprised the world, Nongshim announced a collaboration with a famous chef for the first time, and with the renowned queen of street food from Thailand no less.
The collaboration was announced through a post on the Nongshim Thailand Instagram page. Dubbed “Nongshim X Chef Cares”, the project will soon launch two new flavors – Shin Ramyun Tom Yum and Shin Ramyun Stir-fry – which are both scheduled to be released exclusively in Thailand this November.
In the meantime, for updates on Nongshim X Chef Cares, follow the Nongshim Thailand Instagram page here.
