We know you’re excited about the film coming out in July, so in the meantime, SEA Wave has listed down High Five “marvelous” easter eggs you may have missed in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer!

The TVA is back!

Introduced in the Loki series, the TVA (Time Variance Authority) serves as the guardians of the multiverse, ensuring the smooth flow of time to prevent alternate universes from forming.

Deadpool & Wolverine will serve as the first time this organization will be featured in a theatrical film, but if anyone’s curious about why they’re trying to hunt Deadpool, watch this post-credits scene from Deadpool 2.

A familiar Fox logo

The first two Deadpool films were produced by 20th Century Fox, the studio responsible for bringing to life the cinematic iterations of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the early 2000s to 2010s.

The trailer featured a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it moment where a half-buried 20th Century Fox logo was shown in a brief action snippet as a tribute to the studio that made the superhero boom possible.

Wolverine variants

In the trailer, we spotted Wolverine in several outfits. Knowing Deadpool & Wolverine will be a multiverse-driven film, fans are theorizing that Hugh Jackman may not be the only one who’ll play Logan. The list of speculated actors who could play alternate versions of Wolverine is endless, including names like Daniel Radcliffe, Taron Egerton, and even Danny DeVito.

The Avengers on the screen

A few Avengers characters like Captain America and Iron Man get their fair share of screen time on TVA’s monitors. It’s a short and cute moment signaling that Deadpool has indeed entered the MCU chat.

Secret Wars connection

The next Avengers film based on the “Secret Wars” storyline is not planned to come out until a couple of years, but we found an easter egg for the adaptation years in advance in the form of a Secret Wars comic book lying around.

With Deadpool being the self-proclaimed “Marvel Jesus,” he could very well be a key character in the next Avengers film. Or it could be a red herring, or just a fun nod to the classic comic book crossover event. Either way, we’re excited.

There are more references featured in the trailer, but have we missed any major goodies? Share your favorite easter eggs with us in the comment section below!

Deadpool & Wolverine is coming out in Southeast Asian cinemas starting July 26, 2024.
