The end of March officially marks the conclusion of this year’s winter season for anime and the beginning of the spring season. The first quarter of 2024 boasted some of the best shows we’ve seen, and this momentum shows no sign of slowing down as the lineup of spring releases are shaping up to be some of the most exciting of the year.

My Hero Academia Season 7

My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) returns for a 7th season of exciting action and world-shaking stakes. After the events of season 6, the threat of the League of Villains is now larger than ever, prompting All-Might to request the aid of heroes from every nation to combat this looming threat. The new season will see the introduction of Stars and Stripes, America’s number one pro hero, who enters the fold to help our protagonists battle for justice. While U.A. High prepares to fight against the villains, things become complicated as Deku and his friends must face a new and unexpected threat from within their school.

Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf

Sixteen years after the release of its first anime series, Spice and Wolf (Ōkami to Kōshinryō) makes their much-anticipated return to the small screen. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf will be a reboot of the original series.
The story follows traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence, and a 600-year-old wolf deity named Holo. They embark on a journey and along the way, the two slowly develop a relationship that changes both of their fortunes.
Prepare for an engaging plot, amazing character development between the characters, an expansive and immersive world with rich lore, and a unique and refreshing approach to the fantasy genre. The wildly popular Gacha RPG mobile game Blue Archive finally gets an anime adaptation with the highly anticipated Blue Archive The Animation.
The story follows the adventures of the Federal Investigation Club, otherwise known as Schale, as they are tasked with mitigating the issues that sprung from the sudden and mysterious disappearance of the General Student Council President. In order to solve this crisis, the members of Schale must rely on each other, their guns, and their sensei.

Sound! Euphonium 3

Kyoto Animation’s emotional and captivating drama, Sound! Euphorium (Hibike! Euphonium 3) makes its highly anticipated return after 8 years for its third season.
The third season will follow Oumae Kumiko, who is now in her third year, as she becomes the new club president of the Kitauji High School Wind Ensemble. Kumiko must help her club overcome the challenges they faced in their second year and reach the Nationals again to win the gold medal they’ve aimed for from the beginning.

Of course, an anime season is not complete without an underrated slice-of-life that captures the heart of its viewers with a good old mix of sweetness and wholesomeness. Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again (Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru) has all the ingredients to fulfill that role.
The series is an adaptation of a manga about an elderly couple whose love for each other has remained strong throughout the years. Their lives are suddenly turned upside down when they wake up and discover they are young again. Follow the couple as they spend time with family, and relive their youths while keeping their love.
