The announcement brings international attention to this remarkable location and highlights its importance within the country’s rich heritage.
The park is known for its unique combination of natural rock formations, ancient rock paintings, and religious structures, which reflect its deep significance throughout Thailand’s history. Over time, Phu Phra Bat evolved into a religious and cultural center, influenced by both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The park features a variety of religious monuments, including stupas, shrines, and sculptures, many of which are linked to local folklore.

The location is also home to the Sima stone tradition of the Dvaravati period from the 7th to 11th centuries, with the remnants of Sima stone markers erected around the area, which were used for Buddhist religious practice.
