In an induction ceremony last September, Batman was honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of motion pictures. Since his cinematic debut in 1949, Batman has been in 23 movies and counting, portrayed by the likes of Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson in live action films, with directors like Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher, Christopher Nolan, Zack Snyder, and Matt Reeves at the helm.
Aside from his rich history in film, Batman has also been in numerous TV shows including the 1966 Batman series starring Adam West which catapulted the character into pop culture icon status, and the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series which popularized the modern depiction of the character voiced by Kevin Conroy.

Batman’s star was placed next to TV’s Batman, Adam West, and the co-creator of Batman, Bob Kane. Among those who attended the ceremony were DC Comics President Jim Lee and SVP & General Manager Anne DePies, Batman voice actors Jason O’Mara (DC Animated Movie Universe), Troy Baker (Batman: Arkham Origins and Lego Batman 2 and 3), Hamish LinkLater (Batman: Caped Crusader) and Diedrich Bader (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), and Burt Ward, who played Robin in the 1966 TV series and received his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star last 2020.
“It has been an honor to contribute to the legacy of one of the world’s greatest superheroes,” said Jim Lee in a speech during the ceremony. “Now Batman has found another amazing home in the heart of Hollywood, the city where so many of his stories have been created, animated, filmed and brought to life.
Batman is undoubtedly a pop culture icon that we all know and love, so it’s high time that we got some superhero representation in the Walk of Fame.
