It’s a blast from the past as the Streetboys make their comeback for their 31st anniversary at the Streetboys Reunion Dance Concert. Active members such as Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilaro, and others living abroad such as Spencer Reyes in London and Joseph De Leon in Dubai, are all set to join the concert, marking a return to form for the group.
The Streetboys were the brainchild of film and TV director Chito Roño, who formed the group out of 75 aspirants that auditioned so they could get the chance to dance at Equinox Disco in Makati. Little did they know how much impact they would have on Filipino pop culture.
The boy group debuted in 1993, with famous hits that include “Boom Tiyaya,” “Macarena,” “Friends,” “The Sign,” “Ecstacy Extano,” “Ragamuffin girl,” “Feel Like Dance,” and “On Ne S’Aimera Plus Jamais.” Over the next few years, the group would become known for their electrifying dance moves and stunts, and would be regular guests on variety shows. They would even star on their own movie, Spirit Warriors, which was an entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2020.

Now as they celebrate their 31st anniversary, the group is ready to reunite once again on stage. The reunion concert will be directed by John Prats and produced by Ogie Alcasid’s A-Team.
Streetboys member Vhong Navarro, who has been among the most active in the entertainment industry as a host on It’s Showtime for the last 15 years, confirmed that all members will dance at the concert. These members include himself, Jhong Hilario, Spencer Reyes, Michael Sesmundo, Nicko Manalo, Meynard Marcellano, Christopher Cruz, Joey Andres, Joseph De Leon, Jayvee Amurao, Winfred Chua, Danilo Barrios, Sherwin Roux, Jhonnel Tan and Richard Semira.
