Leading online job portal Jobstreet by SEEK is ready to ace the dynamic job market as it steps into the esports realm with its first-ever ‘Level Up Esports Tournament’, a revolutionary campaign designed to empower young Filipino gamers.

In partnership with Mineski, this invitational two-day tournament aims to engage and develop the skills of the youth who are also future job seekers. Through e-sports, Jobstreet by SEEK believes that young gamers learn key abilities such as strategic thinking, teamwork, and technical expertise while fostering connections between players.

Challenging the players on head-to-head VALORANT matches, the Level Up Esports Tournament will take place this February 2025 with collegiate esports teams namely UP Oblation Esports Team (University of the Philippines), UE Zenith Esports (University of the East), Tams FX (Far Eastern University), NU Wizards Circle (National University), Teletigers Esports Club (University of Santo Tomas), Mapua Gaming Society (Mapúa University), UMAK Fortem Ardeas Esports (University of Makati), and Pylon Esports (Polytechnic University of the Philippines).

The tournament will unfold in a fast-paced, high-energy format, designed to test skill, strategy, and teamwork. Day one will kick off with best-of-one (BO1) elimination matches online, where only the strongest will advance to on-site battles. Day two will see the remaining teams face off in best-of-three (BO3) semifinals at Jobstreet by SEEK’s headquarters in Taguig, culminating in a best-of-one (BO1) grand finals that will determine the ultimate champion.

The university that will come on top as champion will take home a ₱25,000 cash prize along with exclusive Jobstreet by SEEK merchandise.

Beyond the competition, Jobstreet by SEEK will also help young professionals turn their gaming skills into real-world career opportunities. The increasing demand for digital talent makes esports players—who are already adept in problem-solving, teamwork, and technology—highly valuable in today’s job market.

“As the job landscape evolves, we recognize that gaming fosters critical skills that are essential in tech-driven industries. Through initiatives like the ‘Level Up Esports Tournament’, we want to inspire young professionals to explore careers where their passion for gaming and technology can thrive,” said Joey Yusingco, Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines, Head of Marketing.

The Level Up Esports Tournament is made possible through Jobstreet by SEEK’s collaboration with Mineski, one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most influential esports organizations.
