Big news, Liwanag! Miguel and Paolo Benjamin Guico, are set to take the stage as coaches for season 7 of The Voice Kids Philippines. Known as the frontmen of indie folk-pop group Ben&Ben, the Guico twins are joining a panel of coaches which includes The Voice Philippines alumnus Zack Tabudlo, and returning coaches Julie Anne San Jose and Billy Crawford.
Fans were quick to show their appreciation for the new lineup, as they praised Ben&Ben’s inclusion in the renowned singing competition. “Ma, coaches na yung kambal saranggola sa the voice kids,” wrote Ben&Ben’s official page, referencing the band’s latest single “Saranggola” as it pokes light fun on the public’s tendency to call Miguel and Paolo “kambal” (twins). As duo coaches, Miguel and Paolo will make joint decisions and judge contestants as one unit.
“What we do know is whenever there’s something that you’re led to, it’s for a purpose. And the purpose that we want to serve here is just making a small positive impact on the kids that will join us in this journey,” Paolo shared in an interview.
The Voice Kids Philippines made its television debut on ABS-CBN on May 24, 2014. The last season of competition concluded on December 15, 2024, hailing Nevin Adam Garceniego as the grand champion. Production is underway for season 7, which will soon be aired on GMA following the final nationwide audition held last July 6, 2025.
