LOOK: The 48th Gawad Urian Nominees Have Been Announced

The 48th Gawad Urian has finally announced its official nominations, and this year’s slate of nominees is raising the bar for a deeper and richer Philippine Cinema.

The Gawad Urian is organized by the oldest and most reputable critic group in the country, the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino. Now on its 48th edition, the awards program has nominated 14 films, with Tumandok produced by Southern Lantern Studios and Terminal Six Post getting 11 nominations out of the 12 possible categories. Kono Basho by Mentorque Productions trails closely behind with 10 nominations, followed by The Hearing by Center Stage Productions and Pelikulaw with 9 nominations, and Green Bones by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Brightburn Entertainment, with 8 nominations.
