Comics and manhwa are getting a new home! Disney and Webtoon Entertainment announced their joint collaboration for a new digital comic platform that would feature more than 35,000 titles from Disney and Webtoon’s various titles.

Subscription will start at $10, with Disney+ subscribers getting access to a curated selection of comic book titles free of charge as part of the Disney+ Perks program.

The platform is set to be an expansion of Marvel Unlimited, the one-stop digital platform for Marvel’s current digital comics. This platform will include titles from Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar, and 20th Century Studios, as well as original titles from Webtoon. The formats are said to vary and be a mix of vertical and traditional formats for archived comics, original stories, and ongoing comic book stories.

“By uniting our unparalleled collection of comics across Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar and 20th Century Studios into a single digital platform, we’re giving fans unprecedented access to the adventures they love — all in one place,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, in a statement.

“With a new platform that will combine our product and technical expertise with Disney’s full comic catalog, we’re giving new and longtime fans all over the world a new way to discover these legendary characters and stories,” said Junkoo Kim, Founder and CEO, Webtoon Entertainment.

While no timeline has been set yet for the launch of the platform, this exciting collaboration is set to target a wide distribution, with select comics set to be localized for Webtoon’s Korean and Japanese platforms.
