The Masungi Georeserve conservation area, located at the heart of Baras, Rizal, is gearing up for a spooky experience open to the public – the “Masungi After Hours: A Halloween Special.”
This event features a moonlit trail, where participants can witness Filipino myths coming to life in the midst of nature and discover a different side of the forest. With the option of joining in with groups of three or more, a guided trail is led by a dedicated ranger and includes street food classics, trail snacks, hot chocolate, kayumanis tea, and a trail souvenir.
Thrill-seeking adventurers will get a chance to see over hundreds of species of flora and fauna, especially nocturnal animals exhibiting their natural behaviors in the dark. The trail will also be guided by lanterns, ensuring that the tour will not disturb any wildlife that it may encounter.
With these Halloween specials, the nighttime trail will not focus on ghost stories but tell tales of Filipino folklore, whilst trekking through the gentle sections of a trail.
Open to participants aged 13 years old and above, “Masungi After Hours: A Halloween Special” will run from October 30 to November 9. Reserve your slot until October 26 here.
