Japanese illustrator and character designer Mika Pikazo is collaborating with Disney for a limited pop-up in Malaysia! Best known as the artist behind light novels like Apocalypse Witch: To the Strongest of an Age of Plenty and The World Bows Down Before My Flames, Pikazo is now exhibiting her works through the Disney Collection by Mika Pikazo: Play In Color pop-up!
Pikazo reimagines famous Disney icons in a contemporary art exhibit. The event is free and promises an immersive journey through exclusive visuals and large-scale displays, promising to fill visitors with the wonder of Disney and the aesthetic of anime. Disney fans will get to see Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy in Pikazo’s one-of-a-kind artstyle, alongside their favorite Disney Princesses.
The pop-up also includes a curated lineup of merchandise, featuring Pikazo’s stylized interpretation of iconic Disney characters. These come in the form of collectibles like themed badges, acrylic displays, plush toys, character cards, stickers, and more.
