As of writing this article, there have been around four episodes released for Jujutsu Kaisen. The anime immediately became one of the most talked about of the year because of its incredible artstyle and story.
The series follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler who joins a secret society of Jujutsu Sorcerers that combat Curses—monstrous beings formed from human’s negative emotions. With sadistic opponents coming one after another, and various character deaths piling up, the series is set to tackle another beloved arc—the first half of the Culling Games—where all Jujutsu sorcerers are forced into an all-out battle, or face certain death.
Join us as we list down the High Five reasons why Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is a must watch. Be warned, some spoilers may be mentioned up ahead.
Devastation at the Horizon
Just from watching the trailer, you get a sense of dread, especially with the state of the Jujutsu world. Gojo is imprisoned and Kenjaku has started the Culling Games right after the Shibuya incident. Death and carnage are a staple, so try your best not to get attached to the characters. Despite this fact, there will be sprinkles of humor to cut through the heaviness about to be tackled in this season.
Stunning Visuals

We did a frame by frame look at the anime episodes and no matter where you pause it, the visuals continue to be high quality and immersive. Special shoutout to the opening theme and the closing credits, which featured classic art inspirations like The Scream by Edvard Munch and Death of Ophelia by Sir John Everett Millais to name a few.
Just this fourth episode, we also got dynamic shots featuring a notorious character being beaten to a pulp from four points of view, showing how much time and effort the animators have put into the series.
Memeable Moments

You’ve probably already seen the photo above, as various fandoms across the internet have remixed and remade it with their own favorite characters. This comes from a scene with Naoya Zenin throwing punches at Choso in a nonchalant manner. It shows his personality as the conceited guy that he is, which resonated with fans as a funny highlight moment, and drew the attention of other anime fandoms.
Episode four also has a scene with Maki that looks like it came straight out of Kill Bill, showing the influences that the animators of the series are taking and making into their own.
Peak Soundtrack
This third season, King Gnu continues to give viewers upbeat energy with “Aizo,” a befitting song that shows the emotional turmoil that the various characters would be going through this arc, making it a perfect opening song for the season.
Alongside that is the ending theme “Yoake no Uta,” a song from the self-produced singer, jo0ji. Despite its deceivingly fast pace, the song talks about wallowing in one’s own feelings and wanting to be free of it; a direct reference to how Yuji feels. This season is hitting us hard with the great soundpieces that they used for the opening and ending of each episode.
