As of March 10, the Vietnamese film Tho Oi! reached VNĐ437 billion (US$17 million) in the local box office, resulting in an international rollout following its domestic success.
Trấn Thành’s Tho Oi! (Bunny!!) is a psychological drama, exploring the intertwined and chaotic nature of romantic relationships. The story is told through three perspectives through the entanglement of a host of a dating talk show, and Bunny, a guest whose deeply personal story upends her carefully ordered life. Through a chapter-based narrative style, the film gradually reveals the trauma people inflict on one another for their own definition of love, showing that what can start as a source of comfort can turn into the catalyst for devastating life-altering events.
The film will be released under the title Bunny!! globally, and is set to premiere in the US, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan, as well as several Southeast Asian countries. Stay tuned for more details!
