As summer continues to heat up the season, take refuge at REXKL in Pasar Seni—a unique arts and culture hub brought to life in one of Malaysia’s first theaters.
Nestled in this community is Apartment 80—a homey cafe that promises sweet treats and an even sweeter stay. Following a bed and breakfast concept, the cafe is the most recent addition to the building, replacing the rooftop bar and restaurant Shhhbuuuleee on the third floor. The new space features loft-inspired interiors with sleek gray countertops and long wooden bar tables that give off a minimalist look. In the middle of the room lies a bed where you can literally lie down and take a nap and have an omakase-like experience, since the kitchen is open for guests to see.
A green garden also awaits visitors for outside seating with a mesmerizing view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.
The cafe invites visitors to chill and chat with friends. with its relaxing and welcoming atmosphere straight out of ’90s-style apartments, while the menu is every sweet tooth’s dream with a variety of donuts, a modern version of the Kuih Seri Muka, and caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks.
