After two successful sold-out shows last July, Trumpets Playhouse is opening the wardrobe to Narnia once more!
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is set to return to the stage on August 16 with two more shows at RCBC Plaza! Based on the second book of C.S. Lewis’ beloved fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia, The story follows the four Pevensie siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy—who discover a mysterious wardrobe that leads them into the enchanted land of Narnia, a kingdom trapped in eternal winter under the White Witch’s rule. As they discover the secrets of this strange new world, the four siblings must face a dangerous journey, where their courage, loyalty, and faith could help bring an end to Narnia’s endless winter.
The production brings together a talented team, directed by Nelsito Gomez, with Jay Pangilinan as musical director and Julio Laforteza handling choreography. The book and lyrics are written by Jaime del Mundo and Luna Griño-Inocian, while the original music is composed by Lito Villareal.
Also joining the cast is rising young actress Annika Co, known for her role in the coming-of-age film Sunshine. She takes on the role of Lucy Pevensie, the youngest of the four siblings and the first to discover the magical world beyond the wardrobe.
Don’t miss the chance to enter Narnia once again on August 16 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza.
