The coastal province of Khanh Hoa has launched its own digital tourist companion as part of Vietnam’s digital transformation strategy.
Khanh Hoa is located in the southern region of Vietnam and is known for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. During the recent Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026, the province launched its website guide as a joint venture between the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio & Television, in alignment with Resolution No 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, which estabishes science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation as top priorities for the country’s development.
With over 200 beaches and a coastline spanning 385 kilometers, the province is not lacking in prominent sites, with 20 locations already digitized including Po Nagar Cham Tower, the Institute of Oceanography, Hon Chong, and Tram Huong Tower. Other featured sites include various traditional craft villages and cultural heritage sites of the Cham—an Austronesian indigenous group with deep roots in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The website offers users a 3D tour of select locations, a digital map with pinpoints, a tab for recurring festivals, tourism services across 14 categories, and a series of articles on Khanh Hoa’s cultural heritage.
“Digital transformation in tourism is highly prioritised as it offers visitors a new way of experiencing destinations even before they arrive. With just a single touch, tourists can explore the unique values and distinctive features of Khánh Hòa,” shared Thai Thi Le Hang, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in a Viet Nam News interview with Vietnam News.
