It’s a sad time for us, DC fans. The DC Super Heroes Café in SM Megamall recently announced that their store will be saying its goodbyes.
In an official statement released by the store’s Facebook page, DC Super Heroes Café said that they will permanently close their doors today, March 12 (Thursday) at 10:00 pm.
“We would have loved to extend our stay, but these our trying times. The most important thing to remember now is to stay properly informed, and to stay safe,” the store’s team said in a statement.
“The DC Super Heroes team would like to thank every single patron and fan who have walked through our doors since we opened in 2018. To say that it was our pleasure to serve you is an extreme understatement. Our goal was to create a place where every superhero fan can enjoy good food and feel at home.”
The superhero-themed store was first unveiled to the public in June 2018 and has since grown to become a loyal hub for comic book geeks because of their food and layout patterned to beloved DC Comics characters.
The store was also well-known as a home to many DC Comics memorabilia, from apparel to hard-to-find toys. For those who still wish to purchase these items even after it closes, DC Super Heroes Café is still open for merchandise sales through their official Facebook page.
“We will continue our merchandise sales and pre-orders through our Facebook page. If you have questions, please send us a private message [on Facebook].”
In Southeast Asia, DC Superheroes Café is currently available at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and Sunway Putra Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
