Mcdonald’s surprised us with new additions to their menu inspired by the flavors of Korean cuisine. These menu items include new burger options in the K-Beef Burger and K-Chicken Burger, and new flavors of fries and dessert in the Honey Butter Fries and Strawberry Banana Sundae.
The Philippines is known for its enthusiasm for all things Korean – from film and TV series, to fashion and food – and since we can’t travel to Korea just yet due to the pandemic, hallyu (Korean wave) fans in the country will surely appreciate this move by Mcdonald’s to bring a taste of Korea here.
An article released by Rappler broke down the ingredients of the Taste of Korea line for us. The K-Beef burger has a beef patty dipped in gochujang sauce, topped with lettuce, onions, kimchi dressing and an egg in between two black sesame buns. While the K-Chicken Burger contains a chicken patty with both gochujang and kimchi dressing and a slice of cheddar cheese. Complete the set by pairing your chosen burger with Honey Butter Shake Shake Fries, then top off your meal with the new soft serve sundae topped with strawberry banana-flavored syrup.
But try these new Korean-inspired items out while you can because they will only be available for a limited time! Get a Taste of Korea now from Mcdonald’s through dine-in, take-out, delivery, or via delivery apps!
