Are you missing pre-pandemic gigs and concerts? Well, you’re not alone. While it seems like it’ll take a while before we can get back to actual mosh pits and live sing-alongs, virtual concerts are here for a new kind of concert experience. Netflix and Filipino alternative pop band UDD is just about to take the new normal concert experience up a notch with “Trese: #NotALiveConcert” which will launch the highly anticipated animated series Trese.
Dubbed as the “first-ever concert with ghost audience”, the virtual concert is set to happen on June 10, just before midnight, on the official Netflix Facebook page. UDD invited their fans to be part of the ghost audience by uploading videos using the ghost filter at the concert’s official website.
UDD also lent their voice and artistry for the series’ original song “Paagi”. The group shared a snippet of the song last week, heightening fans’ excitement for both the series and the upcoming concert.
Trese is the Netflix adaptation of the award winning Filipino comic series of the same name, created by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo. The story gained popularity and praise by featuring Philippine mythology in the story of Alexandra Trese, a detective who solves supernatural crimes in Manila.
Actress Liza Soberano will be the voice behind Alexandra Trese in the Filipino-dubbed version while Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell leads the international cast for the English version, along with Darren Criss, Manny Jacinto and Nicole Scherzinger.
Are you excited for the first ever ghost concert? You can check the “Trese: #NotALiveConcert” website and the Netflix Facebook page for more details.
Trese will start premiere on Netflix on June 11. While excitedly counting down the days, you can watch (or rewatch) the trailers to hype you up for the series!
